Stryker Spine Selects Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery & Spine For Nationwide Study

The CerviCore™ Intervertebral Disc is intended to replace a single cervical intervertebral disc between C3 and C7, increase disc height, reduce radicular symptoms, improve function, and permit movement of the treated spine segment. To be eligible for the study, patients must meet specific inclusion/exclusion criteria.

Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery & Spine was selected by Stryker Spine to be one of only 25 sites nationwide that are treating patients through the study, which will compare the safety and effectiveness of the CerviCore™ Intervertebral Disc with that of the current standard of care, cervical fusion (sample x-rays of both treatment options are shown below). Our practice has been involved in clinical trials previously. Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery & Spine is involved in the CerviCore™ study to serve as a resource to patients and referring physicians.
