Maine Medical Partners Neurosurgery & Spine is excited to annouce that Dr. Robert Ecker will be joining us in August of 2010. Dr. Ecker is presently a staff Neurosurgeon at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; and he specializes in vascular neurosurgery.
Dr. Ecker attended Harvard College and completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia. He performed his residency at the Mayo Clinic, followed by a fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at the University of Buffalo, Buffalo, New York. He has spent a year in Okinawa, Japan as the Assistant Department Head, Dept of Neurosurgery, and for the past three years has been stationed in Bethesda, Maryland as a Staff Neurosurgeon. He is also Assistant Professor of Surgery of the Uniformed University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Ecker brings a wealth of experience, both academic and clinical – and we are very excited that he will coming to Maine, with his family, to join the Maine Medical Partners/Maine Medical Center Team.
